Cajun Curl™ Jambalaya

 

Jambalaya
  • Whole Chicken

  • 1 Tbl Crab boil

  • 1Large Onion Diced

  • 1 Bell Pepper diced

  • 1 Lb Smoked Sausage

  • 1 Lb Beef or Deer Meat (cut into 1inch cubes)

  • 1/4 C Cooking Oil

  • 2 Cups Rice 

  • Cajun Curl™ Spice

 

 

 

  1. Cut chicken into quarters cover with Cajun Curl™.

  2. Place chicken in medium to large boiler and add 2 quarts of water and crab boil. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes.

  3. When chicken is done remove it from water and set aside to cool. Once the chicken is cool shred it off the bone.

  4. In a dutch oven cook smoke sausage onions and peppers when they are almost translucent set aside.

  5. Brown beef and set aside.

  6. In large boiler cover bottom of  boiler with cooking oil and add rice. Cook on medium high heat constantly stirring like when making a roux. as it cooks you will notice the smell change.

  7. Add broth from chicken to rice(best if it is still warm so not to drop the temp)

  8. Add all cooked ingredients together bring to a boil cover and simmer 30-40 minutes or rice is cooked.

 

 

  (2 large rabbits can be substituted for the chicken)
